Stored XSS via inline rendering of uploads
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Stored XSS in FileRise before 2.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted SVG or HTML uploads. Share and download endpoints serve browser-executable uploads inline instead of forcing attachment delivery or a non-executable media type. Exploitation requires upload or upload-enabled share access and a victim opening the resulting URL, enabling same-origin actions in the victim's session.
