Unauthenticated unpublished-post disclosure via overbroad API query
Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Jan 5, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in Custom Related Posts 1.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read unpublished post data through its API. The search API query defaults to post statuses beyond published content, and its authorization logic does not consistently limit results to posts owned by the logged-in user. Patchstack identifies the gate as unauthenticated; the public advisory does not identify the endpoint or exact fields exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
