Template creation via missing CSRF nonce validation
Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 14, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in ExpressTech Systems Quiz and Survey Master before 10.2.3 allows remote attackers to create result templates. The qsm_insert_quiz_template AJAX callback accepts a cross-origin POST containing attacker-chosen template_name and template_content values without validating a CSRF nonce. The attack requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, after which the forged request writes a new result template to the site.
