Unauthenticated root command execution via unsanitized GET parameter
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
OS command injection in Control Web Panel before 0.9.8.1209 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root through an HTTP request. When api is set for /admin/index.php, the key GET parameter reaches operating-system command execution without adequate neutralization. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires Softaculous or SitePad to be installed through Scripts Manager, after which injected commands run with root privileges.
