Credential disclosure via process command-line arguments
Published Feb 25, 2026 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Credential exposure in SUSE Harvester before 4.072 allows local users to read registry and controller credentials from scanner arguments. The scanner monitor passes credentials as command-line arguments, making them visible through /proc process metadata. Low-privileged local access is required; exposed credentials grant only the access permitted by the associated registry or controller accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
