Authentication weakness in affected Moodle LMS releases allows remote attackers to brute-force passwords via a confirmation email web service. The service performs insufficient checks to restrict repeated password tests against a supplied known username. No authentication or user interaction is required; the flaw eases credential guessing and account enumeration without reported direct integrity or availability impact.
