Vehicle control via unauthenticated CAN message injection

CAN bus injection in Tesla Model 3 2023.xx before 2023.44 allows physically proximate attackers to control remote-start functions. An externally accessible connector exposes the in-vehicle CAN bus without cryptographic checks or secure-gateway protection and accepts crafted CAN frames. Physical access to the vehicle's external area is sufficient to repeatably unlock the vehicle, enable ignition, and place it into a driveable state without a valid key.
