Contributor-level code execution via unrestricted shortcode
Published Jul 11, 2026 · Updated Jul 11, 2026
Remote code execution in Meow Apps Code Engine 0.3.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code via a shortcode. The code-engine shortcode accepts injected code without enforcing a capability restriction before passing it to the plugin execution path. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants code execution in the WordPress server context.
