Admin-to-root code execution via SQL injection
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
SQL injection in FreePBX tts before 16.0.5 and 17.0.0 through 17.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute system code. The vendor identifies SQL injection in the tts module but has not published the vulnerable function, parameter, or query construction path. Administrator Control Panel access is required; successful exploitation exposes database data, runs code as asterisk, and supports chained elevation to root.
