Application crash via unbounded JSON body parsing
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Servify Express before 1.2 allows remote attackers to crash exposed applications with large JSON bodies. StartServer.listen installs express.json() without an explicit body-size limit, so it parses attacker-controlled JSON until memory or processing resources are exhausted. The server must be reachable by untrusted clients; exploitation interrupts the hosting Node.js process without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
