Insecure deserialization in InternLM LMDeploy before 0.11.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious model checkpoint. Multiple checkpoint-loading paths pass .bin, .pt, or .pth files to torch.load without weights_only=True, allowing pickle objects to invoke attacker-chosen callables during deserialization. Execution requires a user or automated workflow to load an untrusted model file, and the payload runs with the LMDeploy process's privileges.
