Arbitrary file write via unsanitized media filenames
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Path traversal in Mayuri-Chan Pyrofork 2.3.68 and earlier allows remote attackers to write files via crafted Telegram media names. download_media uses the sender-controlled DocumentAttributeFilename value in os.path.join without reducing it to a basename, so relative or absolute paths escape the download directory. Exploitation requires the application to download the media without a custom filename and grants writes only where the Pyrofork process has filesystem permission.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
