Browser script execution via stored malicious files
Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025
Stored XSS in Esri ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 through 11.4 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser. Esri has not disclosed which upload path or rendering component accepts and later serves the malicious file without neutralizing its active content. No authentication is required, but an affected configuration must permit file storage and a victim must open the served content for browser execution.
