Server crash and SSRF via prerender rerouting
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
SSRF and denial of service in SvelteKit 2.19.0 through 2.49.4 allow remote attackers to access internal services or terminate servers. The prerender reroute path compares a decoded resolved path with an encoded URL pathname, then fetches a URL whose origin can derive from unvalidated request headers. Exploitation requires a prerendered route; SSRF also requires adapter-node without ORIGIN or a validating reverse proxy, while versions 2.44.0 through 2.49.4 can crash with prerendering alone.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
