Stored XSS via unvalidated coverage result identifiers
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Jenkins Coverage Plugin 2.3054.ve1ff7b_a_a_123b_ and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in browsers. CoverageBuildAction accepts a REST-configured result ID without applying the UI validation that rejects javascript scheme URLs, then uses the ID in coverage links. Exploitation requires Item/Configure permission, a victim who follows the crafted link, and Jenkins older than 2.539 or unenforced CSP protection.
