CVE-2025-6752Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsafe strncpy copy

Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Jun 27, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Linksys EA7200, EA7450, EA7500, and WRT1900ACS firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. IGD's SetDefaultConnectionService function copies the attacker-controlled NewDefaultConnectionService value with strncpy into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its capacity. Low-privileged network access to the Layer3Forwarding SOAP action is sufficient to corrupt the return path and invoke popen with attacker-controlled command data.
