CVE-2025-6751Network attack vector

Authenticated memory corruption via oversized language parameter

Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Jun 27, 2025

Buffer overflow in the HTTP POST handler of Linksys E8450 1.2.00.360516 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory. The set_device_language function in portal.cgi processes an oversized dut_language parameter without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds. Access to the router's authenticated web interface is required, and exploitation can compromise data or interrupt the device.
