Code execution via traversal archive extraction
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Dec 9, 2025
Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary files through a crafted Markdown ZIP import. The importZipMd function passes the uploaded archive to gulu.Zip.Unzip under a temporary import path without containing traversal entries. Access to the note-import feature is required; overwritten executable files can run after a later trigger, including a container restart.
