CVE-2025-67482Network attack vector

PHP worker crash via overflowing unpack bounds

Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026

Integer overflow in Wikimedia Foundation Scribunto and LuaSandbox allows remote attackers to crash a PHP worker using crafted Lua unpack bounds. The custom unpack implementation subtracts large integer bounds without safe overflow handling, miscomputes the result count, and overruns the Lua stack until the process segfaults. Exploitation requires a network-reachable path that executes untrusted Lua; the reported consequence is interruption of the affected PHP worker, not data access or modification.
