Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in ThemeFusion Avada Builder 3.12.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through fusion_map attributes. The fusion_map shortcode insufficiently sanitizes user-supplied attributes and fails to escape them when generating page output. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, which executes in the browser whenever a user opens the injected page.
