Authenticated arbitrary file read via export path traversal
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Path traversal in EVE-NG 6.4.0-13-PRO allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the /api/export endpoint. The apiExportLabs function in html/includes/api_configs.php concatenates BASE_LAB, the request path, and unvalidated filename values before a zip command resolves traversal sequences and packages the referenced files. A regular authenticated account and one valid lab file are required; successful requests return a download link to an archive containing files outside the lab directory.
