Stored XSS via unescaped tmpD form data
Published Jul 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Arshid Database Addon for Contact Form 7 – CFDB7 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts via tmpD. The submission path stores attacker-controlled tmpD form data without sufficient sanitization and later renders the value without context-appropriate escaping. No authentication is required to plant the payload, but a user must open an affected page for the script to run in that user's browser.
