Local command execution via EngineerMode ADB shell
Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026
OS command injection in Doogee Note59, Note59 Pro, and Note59 Pro+ allows local users to execute commands through the EngineerMode ADB shell. The com.sprd.engineermode ADB shell activity accepts a complete shell command, including a netcat listener, instead of restricting the engineering action. ADB shell or activity-launcher access is required; the resulting shell runs in the app context rather than as the Android system user.
