Handler crash or code execution via unsafe strcpy
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Stack overflow in TOTOLINK A950RG 4.1.2cu.5204_B20210112 allows remote attackers to crash the handler or execute code through a QoS request. The setIpQosRules function passes the attacker-controlled comment value to strcpy, which copies it into a fixed-size stack buffer without a bounds check. The public demonstration uses a session cookie and confirms handler failure; code execution requires successful control-flow hijacking.
