Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked URL copy
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A950RG 4.1.2cu.5204_B20210112 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the router. The setUrlFilterRules function uses strcpy to copy the user-controlled url parameter into local buffer v13 without a length check, permitting adjacent stack data and the return address to be overwritten. CISA assesses that exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction; a crafted POST request can interrupt service or redirect execution.
