Root command execution via unescaped Download URL
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
OS command injection in Sercomm SCE4255W firmware before DG3934v3@2308041842 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The /ftl/bin/cwmp Download handler preserves an ACS-supplied URL through libful without quoting or escaping, and the upgrade wrapper evaluates the composed string with /bin/sh -c. Exploitation requires control of the ACS dialogue, such as redirecting the device's preconfigured ACS hostname, and grants complete control of the small cell.
