CVE-2025-67112Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Privilege escalation via shared configuration encryption key

Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026

Hard-coded key use in Sercomm SCE4255W firmware before DG3934v3@2308041842 allows remote authenticated users to alter configurations. The setup.cgi and upload.cgi handlers use one embedded AES-256-CBC passphrase with a legacy MD5 KDF to decrypt and re-encrypt configuration XML, but perform no signature or authentication-tag check. Access to the GUI import/export functions lets an authenticated user recover account data, rewrite password hashes or privileged settings, and restore the modified archive.
