CVE-2025-67089Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized package name

Published Jan 8, 2026 · Updated Jan 8, 2026

OS command injection in GL.iNet GL-AXT1800 firmware 4.2.0, 4.6.4, and 4.6.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute as root. The plugins.install_package RPC handler sends its attacker-controlled name parameter to /usr/libexec/opkg-call without escaping shell metacharacters, so command substitution is evaluated by the root shell. A valid administrative session and network access to the /rpc endpoint are required; exploitation grants full control of the router and its traffic.
