Unauthenticated file read via unchecked filename traversal
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Path traversal in InvoicePlane through 1.6.3 allows remote attackers to read server files through the unauthenticated guest file endpoint. Guest/Get::get_file URL-decodes filename and appends it to targetPath for file_exists, filesize, and readfile without rejecting traversal sequences. File exposure is limited by the web server configuration and filesystem permissions, but can include configuration files, logs, and application data.
