CVE-2025-67038Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via login logging

Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026

OS command injection in Lantronix EDS5000 2.1.0.0R3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The HTTP RPC authentication handler in rpc.lua concatenates a submitted username into a failed-login log command and passes the resulting string to os.execute without sanitization. No authentication or user interaction is required; network access to the management endpoint permits complete device control and manipulation of connected serial communications.
