Configuration takeover via unprotected administrative POST
Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in ETL Systems DEXTRA Series firmware 1.8 allows remote attackers to alter device configuration via crafted web content. The POST handler at /configr/config.htm accepts password, hostname, and network-setting changes without a CSRF token or Origin or Referer validation. An authenticated administrator must load attacker-controlled content while a valid session cookie is active, after which the request can change credentials or isolate the appliance from management.
