Improper input validation in Ollama 0.12.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the server with a crafted GGUF v1 model. readGGUFV1String in fs/ggml/gguf.go passes an attacker-controlled metadata length to bytes.Buffer.Truncate without validating its bounds, triggering a panic. Unauthenticated access to /api/blobs and /api/create is sufficient, and successful exploitation terminates the Ollama process.
