Stored HTML injection via unsanitized SVG elements
Published Jan 12, 2026 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
Stored HTML injection in AltumCode 66biolinks 61.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject content through SVG favicons. The Biolink favicon upload sanitizer accepts SVG files without neutralizing embedded image and anchor elements, causing browsers to load attacker-selected resources and render deceptive links. An attacker must register, create a Biolink page, and persuade another user to open its favicon URL; demonstrated effects include tracking requests, phishing links, and referrer leakage, not JavaScript execution.
