Stored script execution via unsanitized item names
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Open Source Point of Sale 3.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted item names. The Create/Update Item(s) module stores the name parameter without adequate validation or sanitization and later renders it in the application interface. High-privilege access is required to create or update an item, and the payload executes in another user's browser when the affected item is viewed.
