Account takeover via stored meeting-location script
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Stored XSS in TrueConf Server 5.5.2.10813 allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts through a meeting location. The meeting_room parameter accepts unsanitized input in Create/Edit Conference and stores it for unsafe rendering on the Conference Info page. A conference creator must plant the payload and another user must view that page; the script can steal API tokens and user IDs from localStorage.
