CVE-2025-66720Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Request-handler panic via missing error-path return

Published Jan 23, 2026 · Updated Jan 23, 2026

Null pointer dereference in free5GC PCF 1.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to trigger a panic through a policy deletion request. HandleDeletePoliciesPolAssoId writes a not-found response when PCFUeFindByPolicyId returns nil but continues into delete(ue.AMPolicyData, polAssoId), dereferencing the nil UE. The demonstrated path requires network access and a valid PCF bearer token; the upstream report shows a handler panic but does not establish process termination.
