Unauthenticated data access via empty ticket
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in Semantic Machines Veda 5.4.8 allows remote attackers to read protected API data via an empty ticket parameter. The API authentication logic treats an empty ticket value as a valid session, so get_individual, get_membership, and is_ticket_valid accept requests without credentials. Network access to the HTTPS API is sufficient; the demonstrated result exposes user records and personally identifiable information but does not show data modification or service interruption.
