Authentication bypass in affected Apache Tomcat releases allows remote attackers to access client-certificate-protected virtual hosts. The Connector selected TLS authentication by SNI but routed the request using an unmatched HTTP Host name without verifying equivalent SSL configurations. Exploitation requires multiple virtual hosts with client certificates enforced only at the Connector; web-application enforcement is unaffected.
