Code execution via CTL parser type confusion
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Type confusion in AzeoTech DAQFactory 20.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code when a target opens a crafted .ctl file. The CTL parser insufficiently validates user-supplied data before accessing a resource as an incompatible type, causing memory corruption. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
