CVE-2025-66555Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated keystroke injection via open WebSocket

Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Dec 5, 2025

Missing authentication in Air-Keyboard 1.0.5 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary keystrokes into an iOS device over the network. Its WebSocket server on port 8888 accepts JSON input messages from any client without authentication or pairing and forwards their text to the device keyboard. The app must be running and reachable; injected text reaches the active input context in real time without user interaction, allowing remote input control but not reported code execution.
