Stored script execution via unsanitized identity name
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Foxit PDF Editor Cloud before 2025-12-01 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The Identity First Name field stores attacker-controlled content, and the Predefined Text and document-properties views render it into the DOM without sanitization or output encoding. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but execution requires another user to open an affected view; the resulting script runs in that user's browser context.
