CVE-2025-66499

Code execution via unchecked JBIG2 data length copy

Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025

Integer overflow in JBIG2 PDF parsing in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor allows attackers to execute code via crafted documents. The parser fails to validate user-supplied data length before copying it into a fixed-length heap buffer, allowing the size calculation to wrap and the copy to overflow. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious PDF; successful execution runs code in the affected application context on Windows or macOS.
