CVE-2025-66496

Memory corruption via unchecked 3D object reads

Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025

Out-of-bounds reads in 3D file parsing in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor allow attackers to corrupt memory through crafted PDFs. The PRC and U3D parsers read beyond an allocated object's boundaries because object lengths are not checked before access. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious document; Foxit reports a crash and memory corruption, while ZDI assesses code execution.
