Session hijacking via reflected ajax parameter injection
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Reflected XSS in affected Masa CMS 7.2–7.5 releases allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a crafted ajax query parameter. In admin/common/layouts/template.cfm and compact.cfm, CFML emits request-controlled rc.ajax content directly into the HTML head without neutralization. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted link; the injected script then runs in that victim's session and can read session data or alter rendered content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
