Script execution via unescaped DataTables cell values
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Lookyloo before 1.35.3 allows remote attackers to execute script when a user views crafted capture data. The popup view passes improperly escaped capture values into DataTables cells through its orthogonal-data rendering path, allowing HTML to be interpreted rather than displayed as text. Exploitation requires a user to render attacker-controlled capture content, and the script runs with access to information available in that user's browser context.
