Uncontrolled resource consumption in Mozilla Rhino before 1.7.14.1, 1.7.15, and 1.8.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust CPU. NativeNumber routes a tiny attacker-controlled floating-point value passed to toFixed() through DToA.pow5mult, which attempts to raise 5 to an excessively large power. Exploitation requires an application to expose Rhino evaluation to attacker-controlled numbers, and the resulting computation can stall the hosting application or service.
