Database disclosure via exposed Jinja SQL global
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Server-side template injection in Frappe ERPNext through 15.89.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. Print Format rendering passes an attacker-controlled html field to frappe.render_template, while get_safe_globals exposes frappe.db.sql inside the Jinja sandbox. Remote authenticated users must have permission to create or modify a Print Format; rendering the saved format can disclose database versions, schema details, and stored values.
