CVE-2025-66420Network attack vector

Session compromise via executable HTML attachment preview

Published Nov 30, 2025 · Updated Nov 30, 2025

Stored XSS in Tryton Sao before 7.6.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through an HTML attachment. The attachment preview executes scripts embedded in attacker-controlled HTML in Sao’s application context, exposing sensitive data such as the session. A victim must preview the attachment; authentication normally gates uploads, but the inbound_email and document_incoming modules permit unauthenticated delivery.
