Site-admin file disclosure via unnormalized picture filename

Published Nov 28, 2025 · Updated Nov 28, 2025

Path traversal in MISP before 2.5.27 allows remote authenticated users with site-admin rights to read local files through view picture. EventReport::getPicture previously appended the supplied image name directly to PICTURE_FOLDER_PATH without reducing it to a basename. Site-admin access is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the MISP web process.
