Code execution via unchecked PRT object use
Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated May 8, 2026
Use-after-free in Autodesk Shared Components allows attackers to execute code by opening a maliciously crafted PRT file. The PRT parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, leaving an invalid reference after it is freed. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the current process; the same fault can instead crash the process or expose sensitive data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.6.2.11 <1.7.0.10

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
